I'm an old in flesh, young at heart motorcyclist... please note, motorcyclist not a "person who happens to own and occasionally ride a motorcycle", but a person who is passionate about them, lives them and enjoys the company of other passionate motorcyclists.
I do not enjoy the company of safety conscious riders, "Wild Hog" style wannabes or the posers in colour coordinated leathers and matching helmets.
I wasn't too successful at school, but joined the Aust army at 16 and served for 21 years and learnt, apart from how to survive, two trades and a heap about life.
The sorts of things school fails to teach.
I call it the "University of Life", I did a major in "hard knocks". Seeing I'm still breathing I must've passed.
Been a mechanic, and an IT network admin, an instructor of both.
I have repaired damaged buildings for insurance.
Now I teach technology at a College.
I suffer from severe depression, it is a curse that I would not wish on anyone.
I watched my son take a week to die before he turned 17.
I watched my mother die of cancer.
I watched as my ex developed a brain tumour, that added an extra excruciating 8 years to an already bad marriage as I couldn't leave her alone with that burden.
I met, and lost the greatest person I have ever known, but I'm glad I had her in my life for 3 short years.
Thought I might have a place to post some random musings.
A place to put down some thoughts I have about the things I see as I travel this life.
Please take heed, there will be swearing, there will be posts that some may think are offensive.
You have been warned. If you wish to complain, comment or wotever, please feel free.
I only ask that you remember that this is my blog, not yours. Write your comments with that in mind.
If you don't like my ramblings, go look at a different blog, you have that choice.
